Submittable Account Requirement The Submittable account must be created in the applicant’s name. If the account is created in a parent or guardian’s name, the application will appear under that person’s name and you will be required to withdraw and resubmit the application.
Parents are encouraged to have students complete the application themselves.
Eligibility – Steamfitting Industry MANAGEMENT Scholarship Competition
This scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current college students.
To qualify, the applicant must have a legal guardian who is currently an office or managerial employee of a Steamfitting Promotion Fund contributing contractor and has at least five (5) years of continuous employment with that company.
Important: Children of company officers, principals, or major stockholders are NOT eligible for this scholarship.
The Steamfitting Industry Scholarship Program reserves the right to modify an award or select an alternate recipient if a student chooses to attend a tuition-free college or receives another scholarship.
Transcript Requirement Your application is not complete until we receive your transcript.
- High school students: submit your high school transcript
- College students: submit your college transcript
It is your responsibility to ensure your transcript is received in our office by May 15 at 5:00 PM. Applications missing transcripts after this deadline will be considered ineligible.
Standardized testing scores are optional.
Communication All correspondence regarding your application will be sent through Submittable. Please check your account regularly for updates.
Recommendation Letters (MUST BE ON SCHOOL LETTERHEAD) Recommendation letters may be sent to: mischa@nymca.org
or attached to your application.
